Welcome to the Over the Hill Track Club website. We are a recreational club serving Ridgecrest, California and the Indian Wells Valley. Here in the high Mojave desert, we organize a year-round schedule of races, fun-runs and other activities. Most events are open to the public. We are most known for the High Desert Ultra 50K and 30K that we host in early December. Follow us on the Over the Hill Track Club Facebook Page Ridgecrest Running.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization, with the mission of promoting and encouraging running and related activities as a sport and healthy lifestyle within our community. Profits from our activities go towards supporting local youth running groups and community charitable organizations.
Race Director John Auborn reports: On a cool morning, May 4th, 13 OTHTC members ran or hiked the 6 mile Senior Discount Run. About half the group got a mile of shortcuts as a discount for being 55 years of age. That wasn't enough to beat Amanda Strand and Joseph Koca, who finished first and second in a sprint in 59 minutes and 45 seconds!

June Breakfast Run
7 am
Gateway Trailhead
The popular June Breakfast Run will return on June 7th. The run will start from the usual location at the Gateway Trailhead (Gateway and Belle Vista) to the Rademachers. To get there drive east on East Kendall to South Richmond and then right, uphill, and go all the way to the end of the pavement. Turn right on Belle Vista, to the Gateway Trailhead.
Signups will start at 6:15am and race starts at 7am. There is no entry fee but donations are appreciated to help cover the race expenses and keep the OTHTC coffers replenished. The course will be a 5k trail run with the usual hills and rocks. There will be no timing or awards, although there will be goodies at the finish line.
This 3 mile route covers a few of the same trails as the recent Senior Discount Run. Find the course map on CalTopo. Water and a nice continental breakfast will greet you at the finish.
For questions or to volunteer, you can contact Race director Tom Miller at (760) 499-4312.
